One of the five largest pharmaceutical companies in the world wished to assess how comprehensive its business development function was at sourcing new licensing candidates at the pre-IND stage across almost a dozen therapeutic categories. Easton Associates used a variety of proprietary databases and industry contacts to develop and prioritize new compounds that met the client's criteria. While the congruence between the two lists was greater than 90 percent, EA uncovered ten candidates that were of great interest and importance to the client.
