Starting Out Professional Development A Day In The Life Work/Life

When I started at EA as a Consultant, fresh out of graduate school, I was staffed on one project at a time with someone else at the Principal level managing the scope of the project. As I became accustomed to the EA approach, I took on greater sections of each project and ultimately became the main project manager, working closely with the client and an EA Managing Director to ensure the delivery of high quality analysis. As an Engagement Manager, I now manage multiple project teams simultaneously and work closely with our senior partners to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our clients. I have also developed some key client relationships based on my nearly four years of accumulated project work.

I have worked on a wide range of projects including product opportunity assessments and product portfolio evaluations and prioritization. I have covered markets in the US and Europe.

My work has been made easier by the staff that I interact with on a daily basis. Everyone at EA is bright, interesting, and hardworking. My colleagues all share a common interest in healthcare but come to the industry with a different perspective whether it is scientific from a PhD, medical from an RN or MD, legal from a JD, policy from an MPH, or business from an MBA with industry experience. There is never a lack for interesting discussion and debate as we grapple with our clients’ challenging issues.
