Most days I leave the office between 6 and 7pm; on the occasions when an approaching deadline requires longer hours, staying later is not a burden, as I am with my team, working together to finalize a document for the client. The vast majority of the time, our work is done from the office in New York, with occasional trips to the client site for meetings or presentations. There have only been a handful of instances where I have had to do work on a weekend, and in most cases I have been able to complete it from home. One unique aspect of our projects is that I am often able to attend trade conferences that are relevant to the subject matter which we are researching, helping me better understand the field as a whole. By attending seminars, workshops, and exhibits of products and vendors, I am able to learn additional information that I may not glean from interviews and secondary research. EA is also a social firm that truly balances work and life. Be it monthly birthday events, karaoke nights, charity art auctions, or participation in road races, basketball, or volleyball games, there is always an activity to bring people together in a social setting. With a group of diverse, spirited, and competitive individuals, every event is guaranteed to be filled with laughter and fun. In short, my days at Easton are characterized by immense intellectual stimulation and development, great personal and professional growth and also genuine collegial interaction. As I am learning, this combination is rare, particularly in New York, and each day I am grateful to work for a firm that actively strives to enable its employees to maintain lifestyle balance while producing only the highest quality of work. |
