No matter how small or great the task, I have always felt comfortable bringing my questions and concerns not just to my immediate project manager, but also to the partners. Their doors are literally and figuratively always open. For example, during my first weeks at EA, I began reading analyst reports. Having little knowledge about finance, I was overwhelmed with acronyms and numbers. Given his background in finance, I thought Robert Friedman might be able to answer some of my questions. To my surprise, he sat with me for nearly an hour explaining in detail many aspects of banking, financial statements, and various related topics. I was astounded that one of the partners would devote so much time to help me, the “low man on the totem pole.” I have now learned that is common practice, not only amongst the partners, but at all levels of the firm. |
